The fact that I’m writing this article is hardcore proof that packaging is key. I was minding my own business, walking around my local drugstore NOT needing any more makeup. But then my eyes fell on this new collection by Catrice, simply because the packaging reminded me a ton of a Mac collection from a few years ago. The new limited edition Active Warrior collection by Catrice is designed to be long-lasting, perfect for the active sporty girls out there, hence the cute little water-drops in the packaging. I decided to limit myself to only pick up three items from this collection, which I’ve been testing out for a few weeks now. Keep on reading to find out if this makeup needs to be in your gym bag at all times or not!

Catrice Active Warrior Instant Blurring Stick €3,99
A sweat-proof makeup line can’t be complete without a good primer. That’s why I was really happy to see Catrice came out with a blurring STICK primer. I’ve personally never tried a stick primer before, but I’ve always been very intrigued!
Packaging
This primer comes in a really compact aqua-blue twist-up stick that has little water-drops all over it. They definitely killed it with the design for this collection! The lid on mine is a little bit loose, which is why it feels somewhat cheap but nothing too bad! The small size of this primer (3.91 g) is also perfect to throw into your gym-bag or take with you on the go.
The finish of this blurring stick is transparent, so it doesn’t add any tint or coverage to your face. At first I thought it would be kind of gimmicky, but I actually saw a difference! It did smooth out my pores a little bit, mattified my T-zone and added a more blurred effect to the area I applied it. I only apply this product on the center of my face where I tend to get more oily throughout the day and have enlarged pores and it works just fine!
The instant blurring stick is supposed to work both underneath your foundation as a primer and on top of your makeup for touch-ups on the go. I personally would never use this on top of my makeup because I would be too scared it would ruin it. So I just use it as a makeup primer, which works great!

Catrice Active Warrior Epic Active-Proof Luminizer in ‘Work It Out’ €3,99
To my surprise this collection also comes with two liquid highlighters. I wouldn’t have thought highlighter would be a staple in someone’s gym-bag, but hey, a girl’s gotta glow ya know! There’s a more pink-toned and a golden-toned shade to choose from, but of course I went for the golden highlight.
Packaging
This liquid highlight comes in a transparent tube that has a beautiful cap with the same aqua-blue water-drop design as the rest of this collection. The applicator is a dough-foot sponge that’s rather long which makes it super easy to apply. Again, this packaging is super travel-friendly (6 ml) and fits right into your makeup bag!
Work It Out is a gorgeous warm-toned golden highlight that’s right up my alley. The great thing about this shade is that it’s actually kind of universally flattering, depending on how much of the product you would apply.
The formula of this highlighter is kind of wet-feeling, but it applies super creamy onto the skin. You do have to work rather and start blending right after you apply this on your skin, but that also means it’s super long-lasting. The end-result is a beautiful healthy dewy look, which I’m all for! You can apply this all over your face as a primer or in more concentrated areas as a highlight, which is what I use it for.
Normally I don’t tend to apply any cream products on top of my powder, but this actually blends super easily even on top of my makeup. I just apply one stripe on each cheek and immediately start blending it into my skin with a damp beautyblender.
This does have a subtle perfume-like scent to it, so if you’re sensitive to scents keep that in mind. luckily it’s nothing too overpowering and it fades away once it’s on the skin.

Catrice Active Warrior Make-Up Freezing Spray €4,99
Of course this collection wasn’t complete without a fixing spray. And not just any setting spray, no, a FREEZING spray! The name itself suggests this is a long-lasting spray that will make your makeup bullet-proof and I was definitely intrigued.
Packaging
The freezing spray comes in a matte transparent bottle with an aqua-blue lid that again has that same water-drop effect to it. I’m personally not the biggest fan of this size (50 ml), because I tend to drench my face in setting spray and I’ll run out of this rather quickly. But again, it is super compact and perfect to throw into your bag!
With this spray you get three products in one. A primer spray, setting spray and refreshing spray. I’ve personally used this spray all three ways and I have to admit, it’s awesome! The spray is super fine, it has a lovely subtle scent and the formula is so nice. As a setting spray it gets rid of any powderiness, it sets my makeup beautifully and makes it last a longer period of time on my skin. As a primer it adds a beautiful hydrated effect and if you’re skin feels a bit dull throughout the day, it refreshens it as well!
The details on this packaging are just to die for! This entire collection is SO gorgeous, I love it!
