Urban Decay Summer 2016 Collection | Sunkissed Bronzers & Afterglow Highlighter

I can’t believe how this is possible, but Summer is only 3 months away and every single brand is already coming out with their Summer collections. There’s an overload of new releases in the beauty industry and I find it so hard to keep up lately. However, Urban Decay’s new Summer collection was one I knew I had to get my hands on at some point. Their Summer collection contains everything you need to get a gorgeous healthy looking complexion for Summer. Normally, UD kills it with their eyeshadows and palettes, but this time they’re slayyyinggg my life with these new complexion products (and packaging)!

To be honest, I wanted to purchase the entire collection if I could, but I decided to stick to their Beached Bronzers and Afterglow Highlighter in Sin. These were the products that really stood out to me and that I was almost certain I would love.

Their entire Summer collection focuses on the complexion instead of the eyes, which is quite different for Urban Decay. But what’s not so different for Urban Decay, and quite typical, is the g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s packaging and overall design!

The entire Summer collection consists of the following products:
❤ Naked Skin One and Done Hybrid Complexion Cream (6 shades)
❤ Beached Bronzers (Sun-Kissed & Bronzed)
❤ Afterglow Highlighters (Aura, Fireball & Sin)
❤ 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Heartless
❤ 24/7 Waterline Eye Liner in Walk Of Shame

The Beached Bronzers come in a gorgeous compact with summery palm trees on it and is available in 2 shades. This design is so Tumblr-esque and I just can’t get enough! On top of that, they’re wrapped in rose-gold!! The compacts are really slim and not bulky at all. They also feel very luxurious, which is typical Urban Decay.

The Beached Bronzers have a huge mirror inside, that’s almost as big as the compact. The bronzer pans are also really large and they’ll last you such a long time! They each contain 9 g of product.

Sun-Kissed is a matte light-medium bronze. It has a warm undertone and is perfect for people with fair to light skin-tones. Sun-Kissed is the one I’m using currently, but once Summer arrives I’ll most likely have to switch it up to Bronzed.

Bronzed is a matte medium-dark bronze. Again, this bronzer definitely has a warm undertone, but luckily without looking too orange. Bronzed would be perfect for those of you with medium to darker complexions.

These bronzers are so soft, it’s incredible. They feel buttery soft, almost creamy and they blend onto my skin so smoothly and without any streaks. The finish is a little bit sheer, which is what I love so much about these. You don’t have to be scared to overdo it and they won’t look streaky or harsh on the skin.

Even though these bronzers are technically matte, they add a radiant and healthy looking glow to your skin, without having actual shimmer in it. It’s so weird but amazing at the same time!

UD even claims that you can also use the Beached Bronzers for contouring. Personally, I prefer more cool-toned shades to contour, but I can imagine how they would work as contour powders as well. On me, these bronzers didn’t fade throughout the day. I wore Sun-Kissed about 8-9 hours and by the end of the day, my skin still looked bronzy.

The Afterglow Highlighter comes in 3 different shades and I picked up the shade Sin. These highlighters come in the same type of compact as their Afterglow Blushes, with the fishnet cutout that reveals the shade inside. This compact has a sleek silver finish and closes magnetically. Again, the packaging isn’t bulky and really compact. The only thing I’m missing here is a small mirror, but than again you wouldn’t be able to see the shade through the fishnet cutout.

Sin is a light shimmery champagne powder highlight and OMG you guys, this highlight is so good!! Just like the Beached Bronzers, the texture is so smooth and buttery and you barely get any powder kick-up when swirling your brush into the pan.

If you’re more into natural and subtle highlighters, this might not necessarily be the best option for you. Sin adds such an intense glow to the skin. You could try and sheer it out just a little bit, since the texture is so smooth and blendeable, but to be honest I haven’t tried if this works. I like my highlight intense and noticeable from outer space hehe.

They say ‘8-hour highlight’, which I’m happy to report they’re not lying about. I would even say they last longer than 8 hours on the skin. Last time I wore Sin I wore it about 9-10 hours and by the end of the day it was still noticeable.
As you can see, the color pay-off and pigmentation is amazing! What I really like about the Afterglow Highlighters is that they’re to packed with shimmer or glitter, they’re just really glowy and iridescent almost.
I’m wearing the Beached Bronzer in ‘Sun-Kissed’ & Afterglow Highlighter in ‘Sin’.
This Summer collection contains such pretty and amazing products! I am head over heels in love with the Afterglow Highlighter in Sin. It has become my favorite highlighter of all time, which says a lot coming from me. I also adore the Beached Bronzers, they’re so soft and Sun-Kissed looks amazing on my skin-tone and complexion. Overall I’m super impressed with this collection and I think UD did an excellent job with these products!
The Urban Decay 2016 Summer collection is now available in stores and online. I purchased my goodies from feelunique.com where I used a 25% off coupon code, which was such an amazing deal!  You can find the entire Summer collection here. The Beached Bronzers each retail for €26,40 (9 g) and the Afterglow Highlighter will cost you €25 (6,8 g). You can also find UD’s newest Summer collection at Ici Paris XL and iciparisxl.be for all my Dutch & Belgian followers. The only downside is that all of the products are more expensive at Ici Paris XL, both products retail for €30. That’s why I would totally recommend ordering them on feelunique.com, since they’re less expensive and you can always find coupon codes!
What are you most excited about? Are you going to be picking up any of these products?
