Catrice Longlasting Lip Pencil in ‘That’s What Rose Wood Do’

Meet my newest obsession: lip pencils. I used to absolutely hate pencils for the lips, for some reason they reminded of my grandma and older ladies. Maybe it’s because a lot of people use it the wrong way and that can really scare me sometimes. You know those ladies who line their lips waaay too dark? Urgh, it gives me goosebumps. Anyway, now I’m really enjoying these and I found a drugstore one that I’m obsessed with. It’s by Catrice and I have been wearing it a lot these past couple of days.

The long-lasting lip pencil comes in, well, a classic pencil-form. It’s not twistable at the bottom so you do need to sharpen it. There’s only 0,78g of product in this, which to me, sounds like that’s very few actual lip liner. I don’t know if all lip pencils only have this amount of product in them though.

That’s What Rose Wood Do! is a a soft pink with a brownish undertone (Rose Wood, get it now? haha). I love these kinds of colors on my lips, it goes really nicely with my skin-tone. You can use this pencil as a natural ‘my lips but better’ color or build it up to a slightly darker color. You can either line your lips with this, or simply fill them in completely. I prefer to fill in my lips completely, because I find that it looks more natural that way. After applying this one, I usually top it off with a beautiful gloss. On its own, this will last on the lips for hours and hours without moving. Even after dinner, it was still very noticeable. But when you top it off with a more hydrating lip product, such as a lip balm or lip gloss, it will rub of the lips faster, about 2-3 hours later I would say.

I have a feeling my love for lip pencils will only grow from now on. I still have to experiment with them a little bit more, but for now, I’m loving this one by Catrice.
