Ofra ‘Bel Air’ Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick | Review

Since I have become a liquid lipstick hoarder, I’ve basically tried out almost every single brand out there. However, I had never tried out an Ofra liquid lipstick before, and I heard nothing but amazing things about these babies. So being the matte liquid lipstick addict that I am, I had to see what all the fuzz was about and try one out for myself. I never actually got around to ordering one of these until BeautyBay started carrying Ofra a few weeks ago. Of course, I rushed to my laptop and added the most generic nude shade ever to my cart and voila, today’s review is all about the Ofra Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in ‘Bel Air’!

Recently, Ofra updated the design of their packaging and I absolutely love how these look like now! The liquid lipsticks come in a black cardboard box with the Ofra logo and cut-out in the front so you can see the actual tube. The liquid lipstick comes in a sturdy and heavy tube that is transparant and has a gunmetal top. This packaging looks elegant, chic and quite luxurious in my opinion.

I don’t exactly know how many shades there are currently available, but I’m pretty sure there are over 25 shades to choose from.

Brand’s description:

OFRA Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick is a one step full lip color that does not feather. These vibrant colors will give you a vivacious new look. They are creamy and soft in texture, moisturizing the lips and creating a long lasting lipstick effect. No need to use lipliner, this liquid lipstick gives a beautiful edge to your lip look!

Bel Air is a warm peachy beige nude with a matte finish. This is the perfect everyday shade for my skin-tone and it’s super easy to pair with basically any makeup look, even super dark and smokey.

The formula of this Ofra Liquid Lipstick was surprisingly mousse-y with a whipped texture that reminds of the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams. This formula doesn’t really dry down on your lips but has a tacky mousse-like finish which feels quite comfortable on the lips. The color pay-off and pigmentation is really nice. I only need one layer for it to look opaque on my lips.

Since this shade is quite light, it does tend to accentuate fine lips and dry patches, which is something to keep in mind. If you suffer from extremely dry and chapped lips, I would definitely recommend exfoliating your lips before applying this lipstick. Now, my biggest problem I have with this liquid lipstick, and especially this shade, is that after about one hour of wear I start to get that disgusting white inner rim on the inside of my lips, which I can’t stand! I’ve given this shade a lot of chances by now, but every single time it happens to me and I think that’s absolutely gross.

The lasting-power is mediocre since it fades away after about 5 hours of wear, which is quite fast for a liquid lipstick. Also, you definitely have to reapply this after you eat or drink something but luckily you can easily do some touch-ups without it looking weird or crumble off your lips.

The applicator of Ofra’s liquid lipsticks is your typical dough-footh applicator that most liquid lipsticks or lip-glosses come with. It makes it easy to apply the product and packs on the perfect amount of product to cover your entire lips.

The Ofra Liquid Lipsticks have a sweet caramel scent that again, reminds me of the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams in a way. I quite like the scent, but it’s definitely extremely sweet and noticeable. However, it fades away instantly once you apply these on your lips.

I’m wearing the Ofra Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in ‘Bel Air’ on my lips.

There are definitely a lot of pros and cons to take into account with this Ofra Liquid Lipstick. I adore how pigmented this is, how it’s super matte and quite comfortable on the lips. The only downside is that it gives me that ugly white inner rim after about one hour of wear, which I think is because of the fact that this shade is quite light. I would love to get my hands on one of the darker shades and see if it does the same thing, because I absolutely adore this mousse-y formula!

The Ofra Long Lasting Liquid Lipsticks are available on BeautyBay.com here where they retail for €13 (6 g). If you live in America, it’s probably more affordable to order yours on the official Ofra website here for $19,90 (there are tons of 30% off coupons available!).
