The illuminating blushes by Catrice are probably some of my favorite blushes the drugstore offers. I have reviewed two of them in the past, which you can read here and I absolutely loved them. So when I saw that they released a new shade, I immediately grabbed it without hesitating and today I can share with you my thoughts on this beauty.
Catrice’s illuminating blushes come in their typical clear packaging with silver detailing. The compact is slim, feels quite sturdy and is perfect to travel with. As you can see, the blush has 2 different shades in it, which you can swirl together to get that beautiful flush on the cheeks. I did notice that Catrice changed the pattern of the blush. It used to be different but now the illuminating blushes have a gorgeous 3D string-like pattern to them.
The Illuminating Blushes are available in 3 shades and La Vie en Rose is the latest addition to the family.
More on the illuminating blushes:
The Illuminating Blush combines two different colour-intensities with a subtle shimmer and a light pearl. This accentuates the cheekbones as well as giving your complexion definition and a soft glow.
La Vie en Rose is a light to medium rosy pink with a peachy undertone and a golden sheen. The coverage and color pay-off is a little bit sheer, but still quite pigmented.
La Vie en Rose adds a really pretty dewiness to the cheeks with a light pearl finish. You do have to build up the intensity, but that’s something I don’t really mind since I tend to always go overboard with my blush.
The texture is super soft and creamy, it doesn’t feel powdery whatsoever. It stayed for about 5-6 hours on my cheeks before the color started to fade away just a little bit.
If you’re a fan of dewy and shimmery blushes, you definitely need to try this range! I really like this new shade but I think the other blushes in this range also super pretty. La Vie en Rose is one of those blush shades that you definitely need to build up, but I think the effect is really nice and fresh.
The new Catrice Illuminating Blush in ‘La Vie en Rose’ is now available at your local Kruidvat store and online for €3,99 (7 g).
