Action Max & More Vanilla Lip Balm (EOS Dupes?!) | Review

I always walk into Action needing only one item and end up walking out with an entire bag of other random products I didn’t actually need. Their house brand of makeup, Max & More, is super affordable, cruelty free and quite innovative as well. I love finding affordable dupes or finds, which is why I’m always eager to try out a bunch of their new makeup. This time I picked up their Vanilla lip balm, which reminded me an awful lot of the EOS lip balms. The EOS lip balms aren’t cruelty free and not the easiest to get your hands on here in Belgium, which is why I wanted to see if this could be a dupe.

Obviously, the packaging of the Max & More lip balm is extremely similar to the EOS little ‘egg-shaped’ lip balms. The balm comes in a light blue round shaped packaging with a flat bottom that doesn’t feel cheap at all. The actual lip balm has the exact same shape as the packaging. To open and close this lip balm, all you have to do is twist off the top, which is super easy thanks to the little notch.

There are three different varieties / scents available in this lip balm:
❤ Vanilla
❤ Blueberry
❤ Cherry

Brand’s description:

Give your lips a natural boost with this lip balm. The balm is based on natural ingredients. It’s filled with nourishing oils. Contains antioxidant rich almond oil and jojoba oil. The ultra-smooth balm glides smoothly over your lips and is not sticky.

The egg-shaped balm makes it quick, easy and fun to apply this lip balm. For some, the shape might be a little bit tricky to work with, but I don’t find it to be hard to use at all. I think this lip balm does an amazing job at nourishing the lips. It’s super smooth and soft and the formula is a little bit slippery even. Every time I apply this lip balm, it feels absolutely amazing and soothing on the lips. Every single dry patch on my lips goes away thanks to this, which is great.

The vanilla scent is very subtle and hardly noticeable. It’s definitely not a scent that lingers on the lips whatsoever and it’s not overpowering.

The only downside with this lip balm is the lasting-power. The moisture goes away pretty quickly, I would say it only lasts about an hour on my lips, so you really have to reapply this balm quite frequently.

Ingredients:

Ethylhexyl Palmitate,Squalane,Cera Alba,Ceresin,Hydrogenated Jojoba Oil,Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil (Sweet Almond Oil),Tocopheryl Acetate,Phenoxyethanol ,Parfum

I personally think this is definitely a cruelty free dupe for the EOS lip balms. The Max & More version is even more affordable and smoother, but you do have to reapply it more often than the EOS lippies. The scent is subtle and not too overpowering and I just adore the cute packaging! I’m definitely going to pick up the other scents next time I’m in Action as well!

The Max & More lip balms are now available at Action for €0,89 (6.9 g), which is crazy affordable!
