Catrice Illuminating Blushes

I know I’ve been posting mainly about Essence and Catrice the past couple of weeks, but they’ve come out with so many amazing new products recently! One of those new products are these illuminating blushes by Catrice. I remember seeing these for the first time and falling in love with the design. They look so chic and expensive, I just knew I would love them right away!

The illuminating blushes come in 4 different shades, all very shimmery and natural looking.

The packaging is typical Catrice: a sleek transparant packaging. Nothing new, nothing special. But the design of the powder itself, ohmyyyy! They have this beautiful ‘Chesterfield’-like relief in them that looks very adorable and chic. Even after using them for about 7 times, the relief is still there!

I Am Nuts About You is a dark beige/honey shade. Since these are illuminating, they do have lots of shimmer in them. Luckily, the shimmer is subtle, without those chunks of glitter.

Kiss Me Ken is a barbie-like medium pink. Again, it does have a shimmery finish.

I was really impressed with the quality of these blushes. They’re not too powdery and blended onto my skin beautifully. They’re not the most pigmented blushes ever, but that’s just what I like about them. I don’t have to be afraid of overdoing it and they look very natural on the skin. Off course, you can build up the color to a more intense look, if you prefer.

The illuminating blushes don’t have a particular scent and they don’t irritate my skin. I did notice them fading away by the end of the day, so they’re not really long-lasting, but you can easily throw them in your bag and do some touch-ups if necessary.

I’m really digging these new blushes by Catrice and I’ve been wearing them for almost a week now. My favorite one is definitely ‘I Am Nuts About You’, because it’s the most natural one out of the two. I’m in love with the dewiness they add to my cheekbones and the design is adorable. Catrice Illuminating blushes are available at select Kruidvat stores and online for €3,99 (4,5g).
