Chanel came out with a limited edition collection for Autumn 2014 and I can honestly say that almost every single item looks very promising. I like the colors in this collection, lots of neutrals, beige, nudes, … Just what I love! One item that REALLY appealed to me was their blush in the shade Innocence. Such a beautiful pink blush and again, just what I love!
Innocence comes in this beautiful and chic compact with the Chanel logo on top. It has a big mirror inside and comes with a small brush that’s perfect for traveling. Chanel compacts always come in an extra little pouch, which is a huge plus. It keeps your compact clean and scratch-free.
Innocence is a warm medium pink with flexes of gold shimmer in it. The texture is soft and just a little bit powdery. It goes on the cheeks rather sheer so you do need a couple of layers, it’s not overly pigmented. I do like how it adds dewiness to the face, thanks to the subtle golden shimmer. The shimmer is more noticeable in the pan then on the cheeks though.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Chanel blushes, they have a very distinct rose smell, which I absolutely love. The smell goes away once the blush is applied to the face though. Innocence stayed on my cheeks the entire day, with just a little bit of fading around the edges by the end of the day.
This blush is a beauty. Not only the packaging is amazing, but I like how this blush is not overly pigmented. Sometimes I do prefer a more natural look and then I will most definitely grab this one. I like how I can swirl my brush in it without being afraid of overdoing it. Chanel Joues Contraste powder blush in Innocence is part of their new Fall collection and is now available at Chanel counters for €35,80 (4g).
