My Top 5 Foundations!

Something I rarely do reviews on are foundations. I
don’t really know why but once I start using a foundation I always forget to write
about it on my blog. So for today’s post I thought I would share my current top
5 foundations and BB creams with you. Of course this might switch up during the
year, but for now, these are my holy grail foundations that I use all the time.

Whenever I feel like I want a bit less coverage I’ll
always go for a BB cream or tinted moisturizer. Lately I’ve been loving this
one by E.l.f. It has SPF 20, provides a good amount of coverage, evens out my skin
tone and stays on my face for a good amount of time. Set with a powder and my
oil is balanced pretty nicely all day. I’m in the shade “Beige”.

This foundations blends like a dream. I would say it
has medium coverage and I just love the way my skin looks with this foundation.
It has SPF 17, which isn’t always easy to find in a foundation. The only
negative thing I can say about this is that it doesn’t always control my oil
throughout the day. Especially on hot days I won’t gravitate towards this one
since I’ll look like a shiny disco-ball. But aside from that, this foundation
rocks! For some reason, the packaging is different here in our region. I got mine from the US that’s why it looks a bit different so keep that in mind if you’re looking for this one. I’m in the shade “W7 Sand Beige“.
This is one of my all time favorite foundations ever.
It provides such a beautiful and buildable coverage. I tend to use this one
more when it’s a bit colder outside since it has a luminous formula. It’s longwearing,
natural looking and it covers pretty much any blemish or discoloration. It is
more on the pricey side but I think it’s worth the splurge. I’m in the shade “Beige
Ivory
”.
If you prefer a dewy look, you’ll love this one! This
water-based foundation feels super light on the skin, almost like you’re not
wearing any makeup yet it offers a good amount of coverage. It’s super
blendable and buildable, it has SPF 15 and it looks so healthy on the skin.
This foundation does have a rather strong scent but I actually don’t mind it. If
you prefer a more matte finish, they came out with the Velvet Lumière, which has
a velvety matte formula and finish. I’m in the shade “30 Beige”.
This foundation comes in a stick form and has an anti-shine
core. It doesn’t have the best coverage ever but I like using this one on days
where I want to wear something a bit more natural. It blends super easy and
controls my shine for a good amount of time. You do need to use quite a lot of
this product and there’s only 9ml in one tube so it’s no surprise that mine is
almost all gone. I’m in the shade “220 Natural Beige”.
I hope you liked this post! What are some of your favorite foundations? I always love discovering new ones!
