Even though Valentine’s Day is still 2 months away, Essence is spoiling us with a limited edition collection that is inspired by true romance. Remember those days in kindergarten when boys would still do the effort and write love letters? Or maybe you have written them before? I think it’s a beautiful tradition and more people should write them. In this collection you can find an eyeshadow palette, jumbo lipsticks, duo eye pencils, a highlighter, nailpolish, a stampy set, powder papers and even a little diary. The packaging is super adorbs and vintage looking. This collection definitely made me fall in love 🙂
I picked up two things from this collection, the eyeshadow palette and of the jumbo sheer lipsticks.
|Essence Love Letters Eye Shadow Palette €3,89 (6g)|
The eye shadow palette is called Ever Thine, Ever Mine, Ever Ours which is a passage from letters Ludwig van Beethoven wrote to his beloved (although it particularly makes me think of a scene from Sex and the City). There are some soft and romantic shadows in this palette as well as two darker shades which would be perfect to apply in your crease. All the shadows are shimmery, no matte ones to find in this palette.
The palette comes with a dual-ened sponge applicator. The colors are actually fairly pigmented and not too powdery. I especially like the orange and brown shades, I think I will get the most use out of those two!
|Essence Love Letters Jumbo Sheer Stick €2,59 (2,8g)|
The jumbo sheer stick is called Dear Peach! and it’s a VERY light sheer peachy lip color. I was expecting this one to have a little bit more color pay-off but it’s more like a regular lip balm. It has a super pleasant scent to it, it smells like watermelons. You do have to reapply this very often but since you don’t really need a mirror to put this on your lips I don’t mind reapplying from time to time.
I think this another one of those amazing and cute collections from Essence, they did a great job! The color selection is beautiful, the packaging is super romantic. I do wish the jumbo sheer stick would have a little bit more color pay-off but apart from that I’m really happy with these products.
