Since I’m in Canada for a few more months I decided to try out a monthly subscription to the Ipsy Glam Bag. I watch people on Youtube ‘unbag’ their Ipsy bags all the time and more often than not there are some pretty awesome products in there. For only US $10 (+$5 shipping to Canada), I thought I would give it a try myself since I can always cancel my subscription anytime. Ipsy was created by the oh so famous Youtuber Michelle Phan and every month you get about 5 small makeup or skincare products in a cute little makeup bag to try. Each month the bag has a different theme, and this month it’s all about the Sanrio character ‘Gudetama’. This month’s bag is all about chill vibes and lazy afternoons, which I’m not mad about whatsoever! Here’s what was in my bag for the month of July:
❤ Hanalei Lip Treatment in ‘Rose’
This lip treatment has a subtle rose tint to it and smells heavenly. It does an excellent job at moisturizing my lips and it actually stayed on for quite a long time!
❤ Pacifica Island Life Eyeshadow Palette
I love the brand Pacifica, so I was really pleased to see they included one of their products in my bag. This eyeshadow palette comes with 5 neutral shimmery shadows that are more on the subtle side. The pigmentation was okay and on the eyelids they looked very natural. The perfect everyday wear palette!
❤ Chella Eyebrow Cream in ‘Tantalizing Taupe’
At first I was a bit skeptical to see they included an eyebrow product, but I actually really enjoy this one. The color is a bit on the darker side for my skin-tone, but I love the concept of this product. It comes with a brush and the actual product is underneath. It’s just a brow pomade in essence, but I like how they were very clever with the packaging. It applied really effortlessly and I liked the effect it had on my brows.
❤ Tarte Cosmetics Amazonian Clay Waterproof Bronzer
Again, Tarte is a brand I adore so they could never go wrong with this. This is a beautiful warm-toned bronzer with a subtle sheen that adds the prettiest sun-kissed effect to my skin.
❤ IBY Beauty Crease Brush
I was so happy to see there was a brush included in my bag for July! It’s a more pointed and dense crease brush that’s not really great for blending, but perfect for packing on color.
