Lorac Take Me To TANtego Bronzer Palette

When I was making my wishlist to give to my mom when she went to the US, the first brand that popped into my head was Lorac. Lorac is an amazing brand that is unavailable here in Europe unfortunately. I’ve tried out some of their eyeshadow palettes before and they’re the best. They’re creamy, pigmented and blendeable and there’s just something mysterious and exciting about brands you can’t get your hands on. So when I saw they released a bronzer palette and highlighters for Summer 2016, I immediately put those on my list. I didn’t actually think my mom would be able to still get them but luckily they were still in stock at Ulta! So today’s post is dedicated to the beautiful Lorac Take Me To TANtego bronzer palette.

I think the packaging can’t get any better than this. The palette comes with a small brush and is housed in a cardboard box that has palmtrees and a beach all over it. Whenever I look at that box I just want to book a trip to Bali and have the best Summer vacation ever! Anyways, the palette itself is made out of a dark brown cardboard material, but it feels sturdy and durable. The design on the palette is very simple with the golden details, yet it reminds of a passport in a way. The palette is very small and compact, closes magnetically and comes with four relatively large pans. Each bronzer has its own shade name written underneath each pan (thank God!).

The Take Me To TANtego bronzer palette is part of Lorac’s Summer 2016 collection, which also included a few body bronzers, body luminizers, lip liners, eye pencils and light source illuminating highlighters, which I’ll be posting about soon as well!

More on the palette:

Get lost in paradise with the LORAC Take Me to TANtego TANtalizer® Bronzer Palette. This must-have, vacation-ready palette offers the perfect range of highly-pigmented, silky-smooth and blendable TANtalizer® bronzer shades, along with a sleek angled brush, to effortlessly achieve a gorgeous, radiant look all year long. With two matte and two shimmer bronzer shades, create your own sun-kissed glow & bring out your favorite features as if you spent the afternoon laying out on the sands of the tropics. Get ready for endless exotic days and nights in TANtego with LORAC.

There are four bronzers in this palette, two matte bronzers and two shimmery bronzers, in a lighter and deeper shade.

❤ TAN Antonio: a neutral light bronzer with a matte finish.
❤ TAN Diego: a deeper medium warm bronzer with a matte finish.
❤ Cabo TAN Lucas: a medium golden bronzer with a shimmery finish.
❤ TANta Cruz: a medium to deep cool bronzer with a shimmery finish.

Since the matte bronzers aren’t too orange or warm (especially TAN Antonio), you can also use them to contour with. The shimmery shades don’t have any sparkles or glitter in them, just a nice sheen that adds a beautiful glow to the skin.

Considering there are four bronzers in this palette, there’s a great variety of finishes and shades. You have warmer and cooler undertones, mattes and shimmers. Since they’re all in a compact palette, you can easily mix some of the shades together and create your own custom shade, which is what I love about palettes.

The formula of these bronzers is incredibly smooth and buttery, but you do get a lot of powder kick-up whenever you put your brush into these pans. That’s something I’m used to with Lorac’s eyeshadows so I don’t mind that at all. The powders aren’t super crazy pigmented, but they have a nice color pay-off and the perfect amount of pigmentation I like my bronzers to have.

The application of these powders is very easy and they’re super blendeable. You can also build them up without it looking streaky or patchy. The lasting-power and wear-time

This compact palette comes with a large mirror which makes it the perfect bronzing palette to take with you on that tropical vacation!

The palette also comes with a small angled brush. Normally I don’t really care for brushes that come with palettes, but this one’s actually not that bad. I love how the handle is gold and that the brush is compact. It has the perfect angle and density to contour with and I’ve been using it with this palette for quite some time now.

I just love all the details and effort they put into this packaging. The back of the cardboard box looks like a postcard and the fact that it has a beach and palmtrees on it, I mean… When can I go there please?????
Wearing TAN Antonio & Cabo TAN Lucas

I honestly think this bronzer palette is amazing. The quality of the bronzers, the way they blend onto the skin,… In my opinion, $30 is a reasonable price considering you get four high quality bronzer shades. If you would buy one single bronzer from a high-end brand such as Lorac, I think you would only pay a few dollars less. It’s the perfect bronzer palette for Summer that gives you both structure and a beautiful sun kissed glow at the same time.

The Take Me To TANtego bronzer palette is available on the official Lorac website here for $30 (12g). My mom purchased mine at Ulta, but they’re currently sold-out. Both Lorac and Ulta don’t ship internationally, so the only way to get your hands on this palette is by using a company such as Shipito, ask someone you know that’s going to the US or if you live in the US then you’re just lucky!

If you live in Europe, there’s actually a way of getting your hands on Lorac. You can order Lorac’s items on Nordstrom here, and they ship internationally! The shipping and taxes are quite expensive, but I just wanted to mention to you that there is a way if you really want to try out this brand.
