My New Makeup Geek Eyeshadows

I have been a huge fan Makeup Geek eyeshadows for over a year now. I can’t stop using these amazing eyeshadows that Marlena created and I think they’re one of the best eyeshadows out there, especially for the price point. But I had only made one order from her online store since it’s always charged with customs duties and taxes, which was really holding me back. But ever since the Makeup Geek eyeshadows have been available on beautybay.com I have made a ton of orders and I can’t stop ordering more and more. It’s just so easy to get my hands on these shadows now without having to pay those extra charges that I’m slowly but surely filling up my new extra large Z palette. Today I’ll be sharing with you my first order that came in the mail, which are two beautiful regular eyeshadows and one foiled eyeshadow.

I already did a review and swatch post on my other Makeup Geek eyeshadows that I ordered off her site about a year and half ago, which you can read all about here. In that post I already mentioned how much I adore these eyeshadows so I’m super excited I can order so much more now!
The first eyeshadow I purchased is called Bedrock, which is a beautiful medium taupe gray with a matte finish. On me, it’s more on the cool side than it is warm but it’s a staple color that’s perfect for applying in the crease.
The texture was really soft but just a little bit powdery. It has amazing color pay-off and applied easily, although you definitely want to build this shadow instead of going in with a lot of product at once.
The next shadow is called Petal Pusher which is a muted rose mauve with a matte finish.
Again, the texture is really smooth and soft and this eyeshadows blends onto my lids beautifully.
And then we have my first foiled eyeshadow, which is called Starry Eyed. It’s a light champagne beige shade with a foiled finish. This shade also looked a lot more cool-toned on my eyes than it looked swatched or in the pan.
This eyeshadow is so pigmented and soft, I’m in love with the formula of these eyeshadows and I’m definitely planning on purchasing a bunch more!
As you can see here, the pigmentation of these shadows is perfection and they look so beautiful!
Without even realizing, I picked out 3 eyeshadows that actually would look amazing together.
Another item I purchased on the Beauty Bay website is a new Z palette. I went for the extra large black one which is so big, I’ll definitely have to build up my collection to get it all filled up!
I started off this look by applying Beaches & Cream in my crease as a transition shadow. I applied Petal Pusher in my crease and Bedrock in my outer V. Then I went in with Starry Eyed and applied it all over my eyelids. I also used Shimma Shimma on my inner corner and brow bone.
I think these eyeshadows are amazing, just as the other ones I already owned. The foiled eyeshadow is definitely my favorite out of the 3, it’s so pigmented and shimmery, I love it! Another things that’s great about Makeup Geek eyeshadows is that you easily create your own palette with all of your favorite shadows!
The Makeup Geek eyeshadows are available on makeupgeek.com or beautybay.com. If you want to order from the Makeup Geek site, keep in mind that you have to pay additional costs if you’re not from the US. That’s why I would recommend ordering Makeup Geek on beautybay.com since you don’t have to pay any additional costs and international shipping is free over €21! The regular eyeshadows retail for €6,70 and the foiled eyeshadows will cost you €10,70.
