Essence Silky Touch Blush in ‘Summer Dreaming’

Lately I’ve been loving my higher-end makeup products but finding great items at the drugstore is always a great thing. One of those drugstore treasures are definitely the Silky Touch Blushes by Essence. I already own a few of them and today I wanted to share one of my favorite shades from this line, Summer Dreaming

The packaging of the Silky Touch Blushes is very basic and nothing special. But I do love that these blushes come in see-through packaging and that they’re very thin, lightweight and super compact. I also adore the cute little pattern that just adds that little somethin’ somethin’.

The Silky Touch Blushes are available in 6 different shades and Summer Dreaming is one of the newer shades they added a couple of months ago.

Summer Dreaming is a light peachy shade with warm undertones. It has some very subtle golden shimmer in it that’s barely noticeable. On my skin, it has a pink undertone but the peachiness is definitely noticeable.

As you can see in the swatch below, the pigmentation is very nice but not over the top which is just how I like my blushes to be. It’s a sheer wash of color that’s quite buildeable. It looks very natural on the skin and adds a healthy dewiness, yet the color is still noticeable. The lasting power of the Silky Touch Blushes is average, after about 6 hours of wear it could use some touching up which, for me, is normal.

I really adore this line of blushes and the shade Summer Dreaming in particular. I think the quality of these blushes is really nice, especially since they’re so affordable and budget-friendly. Also, these blushes would suite lots and lots of skin-tones since they’re a bit on the sheer side and all the shades in this line are very natural and wearable.

The Silky Touch Blushes by Essence are available at Kruidvat stores or online for €2,59 (5g). At such a low price, I couldn’t recommend these blushes enough and I definitely suggest you go and try them out for yourself!
