I never used to own a lot of Mac products, just a few basics. But lately I have become a Mac junkie. I don’t really know the exact reason, but I’m putting so much Mac products on my makeup wishlist, it’s actually insane. Luckily, my friends know me very well and they gave me a few gift cards for my birthday a couple of weeks ago. One of the first items I purchased with those gift cards was this beautiful lipstick called Faux.
I fell in love with Faux from the moment I saw it on a few of my favorite blogs. It’s the perfect ‘my lips but better’ lipstick and got really popular thanks to Kylie Jenner. Apparently Faux is one of her favorite lipsticks and since then, it has been hard to get your hands on. Luckily for me they still had in stock in my nearest Mac store.
I would describe Faux as a dirty, dusty pink with mauve undertones. It reminds me a lot of Pink Plaid, just little less pink. Faux is a Satin lipstick. That means it has a subtle sheen to it. Faux actually has a creamy finish on my lips and I love it. It stays on my lips for a few hours and doesn’t feel dry whatsoever.
I have accumulated a decent amount of Mac lipsticks over the years, but Faux is definitely in my top 3 favorite Mac lipsticks ever. I adore the shade and the finish and the fact that it’s such a wearable everyday shade. Mac Faux is available at Mac counters and online for €19 (3g).
Zeker een gehypete lipstick tegenwoordig, hij ziet er mooi uit! Hij lijkt bij jou wel wat rozer dan bij anderen? Faux leek me altijd meer een bruinige kleur?
Ja bij mij is hij rozer dan bij de meesten! Maar heeft zeker ook met de belichting te maken, heb ik nog niet 100% onder de knie 🙂
