Maybelline The Rocket Volum’ Express Mascara

I love trying out new makeup, that must come as no surprise. But if there’s one product I love trying out more then anything, it’s mascaras. I get tiered of my mascaras quickly, and that’s why I love to try out new ones from time to time. The Maybelline Rocket mascara was sitting in my drawers untouched for months now, so I finally decided to bust it out and see if it’s any good. 

The packaging of this mascara is one I was drawn to in stores immediately. It’s one of those products that catches your eye, probably because of the fun and bright colors. I also love the shape of this mascara, it’s not too bulky and it doesn’t take up too much space in my drawer. 

I bought mine in the blackest shade, which is an intense black. The wand of this mascara is one of those rubber/plastic ones, which are the ones I prefer. I don’t really know why, but my lashes look the best when I’m using wands like these. The applicator has a normal to medium size, and the bristles are quite short.

The formula of this mascara is a bit wet, but it dries super quickly on the lashes. I applied about 3 coats of this mascara, and it didn’t clump or look spidery at all. You do have to work quick with this mascara, since it dries quite fast and it’s not the most buildeable mascara ever. Once it’s dry, applying another layer isn’t that easy, so I wouldn’t really recommend it. 

I just absolutely adore what this mascara does to my lashes. It adds tons of volume, lengthens my lashes and doesn’t clump at all. It doesn’t really curl my lashes, but since I always use a lash-curler beforehand, I don’t really need that. Once this mascara is dry, it won’t move or smudge whatsoever!
