Sephora Kiss Me Balm in ‘Soda Pop’

Hi loves! How was your day? In today’s post, I wanted to show you one of the newest additions to my lip balm collection: the Sephora Kiss Me balm. I got this one whilst I was shopping at Sephora in Lille a few weeks ago. I am all about cute and original packaging so this quickly ended up in my shopping basket, of course.

The egg-shaped packaging was the first thing that caught my eye. It reminds me a lot of the EOS lip balms , but a little bit more oval-shaped. It also looks like a christmas ornament if you ask me, maybe it’s because of the colors. I think the packaging is fun and somewhat original, yet it can get a little messy if you’re not careful when closing it. 

Soda Pop is a deep wine color with a purple undertone (which is not really showing up on camera). The finish is very shiny, almost like a lipgloss but without the stickiness. The Kiss Me lip balms are all scented and Soda Pop smells like, well soda and coco-cola. 

The formula is very rich and moisturizing and feels amazing on the lips. The only thing I don’t really like is the fact that the egg-shape doesn’t make the application easy, and since Soda Pop is quite pigmented, especially for a lip balm, it can get a bit messy on the lips. I wouldn’t be able to apply Soda Pop without a mirror, which is unusual for a tinted lip balm in my opinion. But nonetheless, I love the fact that it’s super pigmented. My lips are hydrated for a couple of hours after applying this, but the color fades away pretty fast.
