If there’s one thing I always dread doing, it’s eyeliner. I am so clumsy when it comes to lining my eyes, the line is always too thick and it never looks the way I would like it to. Let alone winged eyeliner, I simply can’t do it no matter how many times I’ve tried. I always used liquid eyeliner in a pen, but a lot of people told me that gel eyeliner in a little jar is so much easier to apply. Easier??? Oh hell yes, I had to try that out!
The gel eyeliner by Maybelline comes in a cute little matte jar and metal lid. It also comes with a small brush that’s actually really amazing.
This is a close-up of the brush this gel eyeliner comes with. At first I thought it would be useless and crappy, since most of the brushes you get with makeup are pretty much useless, but it’s actually really nice. You can create a super thin line with this brush, and it doesn’t feel cheap at all.
The liner itself is very black. The consistency is a gel-formula, and I like the way it glides onto my eyes, so effortlessly and smooth. The black is quite intense, and stays that way throughout the entire day. I never once had to do any touch-ups whatsoever, so it’s definitely long-wearing!
I can’t believe it took me so long to try out a gel eyeliner and I’m never going back to using regular eyeliner in a pen-form.
I love how this gel liner, together with the brush it comes with, makes it so easy to line my eyes. I used to hate applying eyeliner and now I don’t anymore. Oh, de matte verpakking vind ik prachtig en het resultaat ook! Hij ziet er erg goed uit!

Dit ziet er echt goed uit! Het lijkt me op het eerste zicht moeilijker met een borsteltje aan te brengen, maar ik ben toch benieuwd of het mij zo goed zou lukken. De pigmentatie is echt top!

Wat een mooie review, hele mooie foto's ook. Leuk om te lezen dat het bijgeleverde kwastje wel eens redelijk van kwaliteit is. Ik ben zelf meer van de stift eyeliners, lekker snel en makkelijk en daar kan je ook hele dunne lijntjes mee creëren. Het nadeel van gel eyeliners lijkt me wel dat het meer is om mee te nemen, een potje en natuurlijk een geschikte kwast.
