NYX Baked Blush in Foreplay

NYX is one of my favorite american drugstore brands. Every single item I have tried from them I loved. But then I tried one of their new blushes.. The packaging is super adorable, but the blush itself is just not the quality I’m used to from this brand. I was quite disappointed because I didn’t expect such low pigmentation from them.

Starting off with the packaging, there’s nothing negative to say. It’s super cute with the little bow which it’s transparant on the front which makes it easy to see the color. I mean, design wise, it’s pretty amazing. These baked blushes come in 12 different shades.

But then the blush itself.. I got the color Foreplay, which is a medium pink blush with golden micro shimmer. I had to keep swirling and swirling my brush on the product for it to show up on my cheeks. It’s not the pigmentation I would expect from NYX. It did add a healthy glow to my face and a very subtle hint of color. It stayed for about 7 hours on my cheeks and after that it started fading away a little bit.

Don’t get me wrong, I think the result is quite lovely. A nice subtle hint of color on the cheeks. If you like a more subtle makeup look then you would maybe love this blush, it’s just not really my thing. The NYX Baked blushes cost $7 (6,5g) and are available at NYX counters and online.

Ik vind het een supermooi kleurtje, staat je ook goed. Maar ik begrijp wel dat je meer pigmentatie verwachtte, ik haat het ook als dat tegenvalt!
