Bourjois Poudre De Riz De Java

Bourjois Poudre de riz de Java €12,99 (3,5g)

The Java Rice Powder was originally launched in 1879 and it immediately contributed to Bourjois’ worldwide success and popularity. It became so popular that in 1897 2 million boxes were sold worldwide. This year, Bourjois celebrates their 150 years of existence and for that occasion they re-launched this famous rice powder.

The packaging is the first thing that caught my eye. They kept a bit of the original, vintage-looking packaging but they replaced the tin can with plastic. Being a sucker for cute packaging, I couldn’t skip this one. To be honest, I didn’t even buy this beauty for the product itself (I didn’t know if I was going to like it or not, and frankly speaking, I didn’t care) but because the packaging looks so darn cute and it’s just a must-have classic. Luckily for me, what’s inside is pretty good as well. A fine, velvety powder with little hints of shimmer, perfect for a dewy and bright look. I applied this just above my cheeks, on the bridge of my noise and on my cupid’s bow. Just the way I apply a regular highlight. I would never apply this all over my face because it is shiny enough as it is. This just adds a natural and healthy look to the face that brightens the complexion. It has a distinct, classic scent that just smells amazing!
