Another month has come to an end & you know what that means! It’s time I share every single makeup item I’ve (re)discovered and have fallen in love with over the past month. Since I’m here in Toronto, I’ve tried out so many new makeup items; so of course I also discovered a few new favorites which I couldn’t wait to share with you guys in today’s post.
❤ Bath & Body Works Coconut Leaves Candle
This is hands-down the best smelling coconut-themed candle I’ve ever tried. It smells heavenly and has that tropical coconut scent without being too overpowering.
❤ Wet ‘n Wild Photofocus Foundation in ‘Soft Ivory’
The Wet ‘n Wild foundation was so hyped up right before I left to Canada, so of course I had to pick it up and try out this new(ish) drugstore foundation for myself. Luckily, I really enjoy this affordable foundation. The color matches me perfectly and the finish is absolutely beautiful.
❤ Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer in ‘Fair Beige’
Now this concealer is kind of tricky and if you don’t use it the right way this might turn out terrible. The Tarte Shape Tape has the most insane coverage ever, so you only need the tiniest amount. It covers my dark circles instantly, but I have to be careful not to use too much otherwise it tends to look quite cakey underneath my eyes.
❤ Milani Make It Last Setting Spray
This is one of the first setting sprays from the drugstore I feel can compete with my beloved Urban Decay All Nighter. The spray is lovely, it has a subtle scent and it sets my makeup beautifully.
❤ It Cosmetics Love Beauty Fully All Over Powder Brush #211
I have been obsessed with this brush ever since I got it in the beginning of April. It’s the perfect, softest powder brush ever and it feels so luxurious, I love it!
❤ Milani Baked Bronzer in ’04 Glow’
This bronzer adds such a gorgeous sun-kissed glow to my complexion without looking too warm or shimmery on my skin. Such an amazing drugstore bronzer!
❤ Tarte Sephora Birthday Set: Amazonian Clay Blush in ‘Paaarty’ & Lip Paint in ‘Birthday Suit’
Since April was my birthday month I received the Tarte Birthday Set at Sephora, which included a mini blush & lip paint. They both have cooler-toned light pink shades and I have been enjoying this little duo a lot. Both the blush and lip paint come in the perfect everyday shades and they’re super wearable.
❤ Too Faced Love Light Prismatic Highlighter in ‘Blinded By The Light’
If you’re into more subtle and natural highlighters you would absolutely love this new highlight by Too Faced for Summer 2017. The packaging is gorgeous and the shade is beautiful. However, the intensity is very buildable and you can definitely get a blinding highlight with this one as well.
❤ Wet ‘n Wild Megaglo Highlighting Powder in ‘Precious Petals’
Another drugstore treasure I discovered this month. I’ve never come across such an intense highlight from the drugstore before that’s not too shimmery or powdery.
❤ Nicole Guerriero x Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit (review)
Of course I had to include this baby as well, which is the newest Glow Kit by ABH in collaboration with Nicole Guerriero. The shades are super intense and gorgeous, but just a little bit on the shimmery side. If you’re someone who prefers a more subtle highlight, stay away from this palette at all costs!
❤ Urban Decay Primer Potion in ‘Eden’
I hauled this bad boy in my What I Got For My Birthday video and I have been loving it ever since. It has a thicker consistency and does a great job at covering up any veins and making sure my eyeshadow lasts all day long.
❤ Tarte Make Believe In Yourself Eye & Cheek Palette (review)
This palette comes with a bunch of shimmery eyeshadows, one matte shadow and one highlighting powder and I couldn’t recommend it enough. The quality is amazing and the shades are stunning. This palette is part of Tarte’s new Unicorn collection for Summer 2017, which I reviewed in a video last week, so you can check that out for in-depth reviews and swatches if you’re interested.
❤ Tarte Tarteist Quick Dry Lip Paint in ‘Festival’ (review)
This is part of the same Unicorn Collection which I reviewed in that video. ‘Festival’ is a pretty light mauve pink that has a flat matte finish yet still feels quite comfortable on the lips. It’s definitely the lipstick I’ve been wearing most throughout this past month.
❤ Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in ‘Ashton’
Ashton by ABH had been on my wishlist for over a year now ever since I saw a few people wear it on YouTube. Let me tell you, it was a struggle trying to find this beauty, but luckily I was able to get my hands on it at a Macy’s in Orlando. This shade was worth all the hunting, it’s such a unique shade and I have been wearing it a ton.
❤ Milani Moisture Lock Oil Infused Lip Treatment in ‘Almond Coco’
This has been my go-to product whenever my lips felt extremely dry, which was basicly the entire month of April. The Milani lip oil has an amazing coconut scent and moisturizers my lips really well. It would also look beautiful as a lipgloss or lipstick topper, since it doesn’t have any tint or color by itself.
❤ Wet ‘n Wild Megalast The Saving Base Coat & Hard As Ice Top Coat
I forgot to bring my trusty base & top nail polishes with me to Canada and I felt like my nail polish wasn’t looking as bright and shiny as usual. So when I stumbled upon these ones by Wet ‘n Wild here at the drugstore I decided to give them a go and I absolutely love these! They protect my nails and add a beautiful shiny finish to any of my nail polishes.
What are some of your favorite products for the month of April?!
Wat een hoop prachtige producten!
