Essence can either really disappoint me, which doesn’t happen a lot, or really please me. Their 3D eyeshadows are one of those products that I’m just in love with. Super budget-friendly and with good quality, you can never go wrong with these!
These duo eyeshadows don’t only have a 3D effect but also a 3D look. They come in 9 different shades, ranging from neutrals to greens and blues. There’s a beautiful relief on these shadows that is still noticeable even after using it a couple of times. The packaging feels sturdy and not cheap at all.
Irresistible Vanilla Latte has two pretty light shades, a shimmery gold and a gorgeous highlight shade.
The texture is soft, especially the lightest shade, and just a bit powdery. I did experience a little bit of fall-out while I was applying the 2 shades but nothing too crazy, just a bit around the eye area. They can be a little tricky to apply, the darker shade was a bit grainy and therefor more difficult to blend into my crease. With the lightest shade I had to really build it up and apply quite a few layers.
The shades stayed beautifully in place throughout the day, didn’t crease or anything like that.
You do need to build these shadows up and put some effort into these. Apart from that, I really liked the formula and quality! The Essence 3D eyeshadows are available at Kruidvat for €2,89 each (2,8g).
