New Catrice ‘Too Sweet To Tweet’ Nail Lacquer

When it comes to nail polish, I always think I have every shade there could possibly exist and promise myself to stop buying more. But here I am reviewing one of the new Catrice Nail Lacquers for Fall / Winter 2016. I guess I’m not that disciplined when it comes to shopping hehe! When I saw this shade for the first time in stores, I immediately fell in love since it’s such a unique shade that I don’t already own (yeah, keep telling yourself that!).

Too Sweet To Tweet is a soft creamy lavender grey that doesn’t contain any shimmer but has a glossy finish. I always fall for these kinds of soft pastel shades, I think it’s a fun way to wear something colorful on your nails without it being too much. This shade is rather unique though. Depending on the lighting, sometimes it has blue undertones, sometimes purple, something grey,… It’s such a cool and unique shade!

The coverage of this nail polish is great, I only had to apply two coats for it to look opaque but even after one it looked even. The formula is a bit runny, but not too much where it runs everywhere. I actually think this formula is very comparable to Essie’s nail polishes, which are some of my favorites! The lasting power was average but I think I’m not the most ideal person to judge this since my nails have been cracking everywhere. On me, I noticed a little bit of chipping after two days.

The applicator is rather large and a little bit pointed, which makes the polish go on so easily. You only need to go over your nails about 2-3 times and they’re already completely covered.

The new Catrice Nail Lacquer in ‘Too Sweet To Tweet’ is now available at Kruidvat and online for €2,99 (10 ml). Considering these are very comparable to Essie polishes, I think this price is super reasonable!
