Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette

Lately, more and more makeup brands have been collaborating with famous Youtubers, which is getting very dangerous for my wallet. Every time a Youtuber I love comes out with a product in collaboration with a brand I like, I just have to get it and it makes me feel proud in a way. Becca and Jaclyn Hill have come out with a few collabs in the past, one of them being Champagne Pop, which is now part of their permanent range. About a month ago they released their third collaboration, which is called the Champagne Collection. This collection consists of a face palette, an eyeshadow palette (that is already discontinued) and a liquid and poured version of Champagne Pop. The Face Palette is a limited edition item and I actually can’t believe I was able to get my hands on it!

The Face Palette comes in a large and very sturdy mirrored gold compact. While the gold looks very fancy and luxurious, it does catch fingerprints easily and looks dirty quite fast. The front of the palette has a beautiful white design with silver and gold details, it almost looks like champagne drops. In the middle it says ‘Becca Jaclyn Hill’ and all of the shade names are found on the back of the palette.

As you can see, this palette comes with a little plastic with all the shade names, which is just something I really don’t understand. I loose these all the time, and then I would have to check the back to see what shade I’m using. I know this may sound high maintenance, but I just prefer it when the shade names are placed right next to the actual pans.

The Champagne Collection Face Palette comes with two Shimmering Skin Perfector™ Pressed highlighters, a Luminous blush and two Mineral blushes. The pans are decently sized and you can easily fit your brushes into them. 

Overall it’s a very warm palette with a lot of coral-tones in it. The Mineral blushes are described as matte, but I think they have more of a satin finish.

❤ Champagne Pop: a warm peachy/white orange gold with a frosted finish.
❤ Prosecco Pop: a medium warm yellow toned gold with a frosted finish.
❤ Rosé Spritz: a soft peachy pink with a pale gold shimmer.
❤ Amaretto: a muted toasted almond with a semi-matte finish.
❤ Pamplemousse: a warm coral pink with a semi-matte finish.

Amaretto was the only shade that I had to build op just a little bit to get this swatch, but nonetheless it applies beautifully. All the other shades are super pigmented and silky soft.

The texture of these powders, compared to Becca’s individual pans is a little bit more stiff and powdery, whilst their individuals are a lot smoother and softer. But nonetheless, they are still very soft, they’re as pigmented in the palette and they perform just the same. These powders also blend onto the skin like a dream, but you do have to use a very light hand. Since these are extremely pigmented and rich in color, you want to start off with a very small amount and build it up if necessary.

Amaretto is definitely my favorite blush shade in this palette, and for a highlight I love mixing both Champagne Pop and Prosecco Pop, they make for a killer combo.

I find that Becca’s powders are quite long-lasting, and I can say the same thing for this face palette. By the end of the day, my glow is still noticeable, and the blush is still there. Granted, after about 7 hours the blush does start to fade just a little bit.

Parabens, Sulfates and Phthalates

Inside the cardboard box you also get a sample of the Backlight Priming Filter. It’s a decent size, and it’ll last you up to 3-4 uses. After trying it out twice, I can definitely say I really enjoy this primer, I’m just not sure if it’s worth the money since it is quite expensive to buy.

I applied Amaretto as a blush on the apples of my cheeks and went in with a mix of Champagne Pop and Prosecco Pop for my highlight. You can check out my video below to see a demo of me applying this palette onto mu cheeks!

I think that overall the Champagne Collection Face Palette is beautiful, and the quality is definitely outstanding and typical Becca. The only downside is the price-point, but I think it’s a great value and you definitely get your money’s worth. This Face Palette is limited edition and retails for $52 (20.4 g), but has a value of $136. Unfortunately it’s currently out of stock on sephora.com (here), but I really hope they’ll bring it back at least one more time.
