Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara

When I was shopping at Target in California, I stumbled upon this new mascara by Maybelline that looked really interesting and definitely made me curious to try it out. I’m a huge fan of drugstore mascaras and I love the original The Falsies mascara so much that I thought I would give this one a go. I purchased another mascara at Target, which I’ll be talking about in a future post but for today’s review I wanted to share the new Maybelline mascara with you guys. I love shopping at Target so much, I always spend way too much money in that store! For those of you who are unfamiliar with Target, it’s basically a huge department store in the US that sells almost everything you would ever need. It’s amazing and I could get lost in these for hours and hours. But anyways, on with the review!

The Falsies Push Up Drama claims:

Dramatic lift and volume for the falsies push up effect, with a creamy plumping formula that delivers instant volume and holds lift in place.

Now those are some interesting and exciting promises if you ask me!

This mascara comes in a pink and red metallic tube that looks very bad-ass yet still girly and fancy at the same time. It actually looks as if it would be a double-ended mascara, but it’s not.

I grabbed mine in very black, which is the darkest black available in this mascara. I prefer my lashes to look really black since I think it looks the best on me.

The Push Up Drama mascara has a push up cup brush with cup-shaped bristles that scoop up and lifts the lashes. It’s a rubber applicator, which might not be suited for everyone’s eyelashes, but I actually prefer these types of applicators and brushes.

My lashes react really well to this mascara. It adds tons of volume and length and it even gives my lashes a curl. The only thing I didn’t really like about this mascara is that it’s not the most buildeable mascara ever. After the second coat, it starts to get a bit clumpy with that spidery lash effect, which is something I don’t really like that much. That’s why I would recommend applying 2-3 layers.

This mascara holds my lashes and curl in place throughout the day, but my lashes start to loose the curl and some volume by the end of a long day, which is kind of normal for me.

In the first picture I’m not wearing any mascara and in the second one I applied about 2-3 coats of the new Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama mascara. As you can see, adding more mascara would’ve made my lashes look very clumpy but 2-3 coats is absolutely perfect. It adds a nice amount of volume to my lashes and makes them look thicker and fuller.

I think this is an amazing drugstore mascara that makes my lashes look full and volumized, but I wouldn’t say it’s the best mascara Maybelline has. I definitely prefer the Rocket mascara over this one, but nonetheless I think it’s an amazing mascara!

Unfortunately I haven’t spotted the new Falsies Push Up Drama mascara here in our stores, but I definitely hope Maybelline will release this mascara here in our region as well! I purchased mine at Target in the US and payed $9,49 (of course I used a coupon code to get it way cheaper hehe)!
