Hi loves! I had a rather busy week which is why I wasn’t able to post as much as I wanted to. I had so much work to do for school and I was in such a weird mood, but luckily that’s over and I’m back to my usual self haha! It’s just crazy how much work I have to do for school, and on top of that I have to find the time to actually study for my exams which are in January and it’s giving me so much stress lately. But one thing that can completely makes me forget about all of that is blogging. It puts me in such a great mood, especially after I have posted something. Which is why today I decided to dedicate some of my time to do what I love, blogging! Today’s post will be all about my new Kat Von D liquid lipstick in Double Dare, which is such a pretty one!
Kat Von D always kills it with her packaging. I think the packaging of the Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks is so amazing, I adore the design she did on these. They come in a rather long and slim tube and have a dough-tooth applicator. One thing I did notice is that the color indication on the box (third to last picture), isn’t exactly a perfect match as to what the shade really looks like. It’s close, but not exactly the same.
Double Dare is a muted and dark coral/pink that has a matte finish and a very warm undertone. It applied super evenly and opaque, without any patchiness or clinging onto any dry areas on the lips. It does accentuate fine lines just a little bit, but I haven’t used a liquid lipstick that doesn’t do that.
The formula goes on quite wet and takes about 30-40 seconds to dry. It is a very liquid consistency, but it dries completely matte. This formula stays on my lips for about 6-7 hours but after about 5 hours the formula gets dryer than before.
In comparison to the Colourpop ultra matte lips, the everlasting liquid lipsticks are less drying on my lips. They’re quite comfortable to wear, but I would say that the Coloupop ones tend to stay on my lips a little bit longer than the Kat Von D liquid lipsticks.
The formula of these liquid lipstick is amazing. They glide on the lips and aren’t sticky or tacky whatsoever. They last for hours and hours and I think they’re just amazing! I also purchased the Lolita lip set that has Lolita 1 & 2, which I can’t wait to show you guys!
The Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks are available on sephora.com here for $20 (6,6 ml) each. Double Dare is currently out of stock, as well as some other really popular shades, but I heard they’re coming back in 2016. You can submit your email address to get notified when the shades get back in stock so if you’re interested in Double Dare or another shade that’s out of stock, I would definitely recommend doing that!
