I had a rather big wish-list when I went to California. There were a lot of recommendations and products I had seen on other blogs and on Youtube on my list. One of those products that I had heard nothing but amazing things off was the Bye Bye Pores loose powder by It Cosmetics. Everyone was raving about this and since we can’t get our hands on it here in Belgium I thought it was the perfect opportunity to add this one to my collection and see for myself if it’s really worth the hype.
The Bye Bye Pores translucent powder comes in a rather compact jar. The lid is matte black and has the same feeling as the Nars packaging. It has the brand written in silver and the jar itself also has a matte finish, but it’s translucent. You open up the product by twisting off the lid and inside you get a little applicator. The inside has little holes in it so that the powder can come out. It’s just the basic packaging that most translucent powders have.
The Bye Bye Pores is also available in a pressed powder, but I heard it’s not as effective as the loose version, which is why I went for this one.
The powder itself doesn’t have any color to it, it’s just an invisible translucent powder that doesn’t add any color or coverage. This finishing powder is infused with “hydro-collagen, silk and vitamins K, A & E”.
The texture of this powder is very soft and it’s super fine. I apply it with a regular powder brush over my foundation to set my entire face. And let me tell you, the first time I ever tried this powder I was in awe. It completely blurred out my imperfections and (most of) my pores. It made my skin look airbrushed and really flawless, it’s insane. I don’t know what’s in this powder, but it’s magic! It didn’t make my skin super matte, it just made it look silky. It even kept my skin shine-free for about 4 hours before my natural oils came peeking through.
The great thing about this being translucent is that it’s perfect for any skin tone, everybody can easy this product.
The only downside I can think off is that it’s a bit messy since it’s a translucent powder but I’m willing to deal with it since it does wonder on my skin.
In the picture above I’m only wearing my foundation. You can see in the picture below how it really blurs and smooths out my skin.
The Bye Bye Pores loose powder is honestly one of the best translucent powders I’ve ever tried in my life. It’s crazy how it blurs my pores and imperfections. It’s also “talc-free, oil-free, fragrance-free, paraben-free, non-drying and hypoallergenic” which is really amazing.
The Bye Bye Pores Poreless Finish HD Micro-Powder by It Cosmetics is unfortunately not available here in our country. It’s sold at ulta.com for $24 (6,8g), so if you happen to know someone that’s going to the US, you should really ask them to bring this back home for you! It’s definitely a higher end and pricier item, but in my opinion it’s totally worth it!
sounds really good!! 😀
