NYX Nude Lip Primer

Hi loves! How is your week going so far? I had to work most days but now I finally got some time to write another blogpost. Today I’m reviewing a product I have never reviewed (or used) before, which is a lip primer. I ordered this one by NYX about 2 months ago on cherryculture.com because I was very curious. My lips are often chapped or not very even which can make my lipstick go on a little patchy and I hoped a lip primer would help prevent that. I also hoped it would make my lipstick stay in place a little bit longer and provide a nice and even base. 

The lip primer by NYX is available in 2 different shades, Nude and Deep Nude, and comes in a twist-up stick. I purchased the shade Nude, which at first I thought would give off a nude color as a base for any lipstick color, but it ended up being transparent. When I was applying this, it reminded me a lot of a regular, more dry lip balm. It has a subtle scent that isn’t noticeable on the lips. 

Personally, I don’t really get the point of this lip primer. It doesn’t provide a more even base then a lip balm could and as far as prolonging the wearing time of any lipstick, I didn’t notice much difference. It’s not that I hate this product, I just don’t really get it. It does claim that this will prevent your lip color from going outside the lines, but since that’s not really an issue for me, I didn’t notice that.
