I’m back with another ‘All About’ post. I started off this series with All About MAC and now it’s time for Alverde. Alverde is a German drugstore brand that uses all natural ingredients. Their prices are somewhere between Essence and Catrice, so their products are super affordable and budget-friendly. I picked up 5 items whilst shopping in Germany and instead of reviewing them all separately I thought I would write about them all in one post.

One thing I was really surprised to see in their range, especially from a drugstore brand was a setting spray. It’s a small travel size bottle, which is why I picked it up. I also saw this very pretty blush, so I couldn’t pass that one up as well.
I can’t get over how beautiful this blush looks!! It has this pretty flower engraved in the powder and the color is just amazing.
Pretty Terra is a medium terra-cotta pink. It’s not matte, but it doesn’t have shimmer in it either. It just adds the prettiest glow to my cheeks and I love how this color looks on me. I think it would complement a lot of skin-tones as well. The consistency was not too powdery and it blended onto my cheeks very nicely. It also stayed in place the entire day, without hint of fading!
I have to try out their setting spray a bit more, but so far I like it. It does have a pretty strong scent, but fades away after a few minutes on the skin. It sets my makeup perfectly, making it look more dewy and less powdery. As far as making my makeup stay in plays longer, I haven’t really noticed much difference so far.
I personally adore baked eyeshadows, so when I saw they had a few of them, I decided to try one out. I picked up Elegant Beige which is a shimmery beige/champagne shade. It swatched pretty nicely and I loved the way it looked on my eyes. Definitely a color that’s right up my alley! It applied nicely and stayed on my eyelids the entire day, just with a little bit of shimmer fall-out but nothing crazy.
They had a few different quattro eyeshadow palettes on their stand, but ‘Chocolate’ was the one that appealed to me the most. It’s a neutral little eyeshadow palette that has 4 beautiful and basic shadows in it.
Chocolate has a creamy white shadow in it, a light beige/gold, a shimmery brown and a dark brown. The shadows were super creamy and pigmented. They applied like butter and I didn’t have to build up the color that much, just a little bit. I didn’t experience any fall-out and the shadows stayed on my lids the entire day, no creasing. I’m so happy with this palette, the quality is excellent, especially for such a low price!
I used ‘Elegant Beige’ and ‘Chocolate’ eyeshadow palette to create this look. |
I couldn’t be happier with these products. Considering they were all relatively cheap, the quality is amazing and above all, their ingredients are all natural. The lipstick and eyeshadow palette were the two items I was the most impressed with. You can get Alverde at DM in Germany, so if you happen to be in Germany, I would totally recommend that you check it out!
