E.l.f. Everyday Smoky Eyeshadow Palette

Those of you who have been following my blog for a while now know how much I adore E.l.f. as a low-budget brand. I think (most) of their products are really good quality and their prices are always budget friendly. That’s why I love that I’m able to try out a bunch of their new stuff every single time they come out with new products. I mentioned in a post a while ago that they were coming out with some new products and after trying out their new Blending Brush, it is now time to give you my honest opinion on their new ‘Everyday Smoky’ eyeshadow palette.

E.l.f. released two new eyeshadow palettes: ‘Everyday Smoky’ and ‘Need It Nude’. Since I’ve been trying to experiment a bit more with cooler tones I decided to try out the ‘Everyday Smoky’ palette since I already own a bunch of nude eyeshadow palettes.

The Everyday Smoky palette comes with 10 different shadows. The packaging is very slim and compact and feels quite sturdy. It has a matte black packaging with the name written in white on the front. It comes with a big mirror and no unnecessary brushes, which I don’t even like anyway.

As you can see; the packaging is very slim and doesn’t take up a lot of space, the perfect travel buddy!

Everyday Smoky has 10 beautiful cool-toned shadows in it with all sorts of different finishes. You get some matte shades as well as satin and shimmery shadows. There are some lighter, everyday shades in this palette as well as some darker more smoky shades.

The first 5 shadows are the lighter ones in the palette. Some of these (second and fourth) swatched really good. But especially the third shade wasn’t the easiest to swatch and I wasn’t really blown away by the quality. I do love how you get a nice matte grey that you can use as a cool-toned transition shade as well as a highlighting shade. That makes this palette the perfect one to just take with you when you’re traveling since you could easily create an eye-look just by using this palette on its own.

The last 5 shades and darkest ones were so nice! They swatched beautifully and I think that they’re all very pigmented and I adored the quality of these darker shadows, way more than the first 5 shadows.

I absolutely adore the shade selection in this palette! You could go for an everyday more natural look or really smoke it out and make it more fierce and dark.

These eyeshadows were quite easy to apply and blend and they actually stayed on my eyelids without creasing throughout the day. I didn’t experience any fall-out whatsoever, which is also a good thing, I absolutely hate that!

If you’re like me and you adore cool-toned eyeshadows, or you just want to get into them, definitely check out this palette! Granted, there were 2-3 shadows that were a bit disappointing, but I think overall this is a really good palette. You basically get everything you need in this one palette without having to use any other shadows (which of course you could!) and it’s very compact and easy to travel with or store away in your collection.

The Everyday Smoky eyeshadow palette is available on E.l.f.’s webshop here for €12 (14g). Although this palette is a bit more expensive than most of their other products, I do think it’s worth it and I’ll definitely be using this palette a ton!

Mooi palette. Ik ben nog niet helemaal overtuigd, maar hij ziet er zeker niet slecht uit!
