My makeup look is never complete without adding some highlight on my cheekbones. I adore the way a glowy and dewy cheekbone looks and have become obsessed with highlighting. I only own about 4 or 5 highlighters but it’s safe to say that I have found my all time favorite, I just can’t stop using it! It’s the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in ‘Opal’, which has been raved about so much in the beauty-world. It has been in my collection for months now, and I haven’t used any of my other highlighters since.
Becca’s highlighting powders comes in this really sturdy dark-brown rubber case with the metallic logo in the middle. It has a huge mirror inside and is very compact and ideal for traveling.
Opal is a golden champagne highlight with a frosted pearly and reflective finish. It doesn’t have chunks of glitter in it but just the perfect amount of shimmer that adds the most gorgeous glow to the cheekbones.
The texture and formula of this powder is amazing. At first, I thought it was a cream because it’s so soft and smooth. The pigmentation is intense and it blends onto the skin like it’s no big deal. I do recommend applying this powder very lightly since it’s so intensely pigmented, it could look too much and emphasize pores. I just can’t get over how soft this texture is and how good it looks on the cheeks!
If you’re willing to splurge on a magnificent highlighting powder, Becca’s Opal is definitely one you should consider. I know it’s harder to get your hands on, but it’s so worth it! The texture, the way it applies and looks on your face,… everything is perfect about this highlighter. You can get Becca products on Space Nk (UK) and Sephora (US). If you order it on the Sephora website, it will cost you €36 (8g) plus shipping costs and taxes. I ordered mine on sephora.com and am so happy I did!
